chicken soup and snow

in my last post i thanked Annemarie andMarit for giving me an award, but the links weren't working and i couldn't get it edit right. so here they are. do yourselves a favor and pay them a visit.

i think this post is going to be heavy with the pics.

it snowed here and it's a real treat since we don't get much snow here.  i took advantage of this and went out to take some pictures. hope you enjoy them.

   

and Harrison made us some chicken soup last night. it was delicious.


this has been a fun morning. Harrison and i are having peppermint hot chocolate and Papa J is having a good cup of joe.

our new prompt is up for my art journaling class so i'll be posting a new page soon.

Pumpkin Palooza

Ok, I know that sometimes less is more, but when it comes to pumpkins...I've never met one that I don't love.  Jake and I finally finished decorating the outside.  I finished up on the inside too. 

When I got up this morning there were black birds in my yard.  There was one by the Cinderella Pumpkin so I had to snap a photo.  I couldn't get a good shot, but I hope you enjoy the photos.  I'll be checking your blogs to see what how you've decorated.  I hope you'll share.

 

The first four photos are of the front of the house and the last one is a photo of my guest house and scrapbook studio.  I'll try to post photos of the inside tomorrow.

Gone to long!

Judging by these photos, we were gone way to long. The rose bushes in the front of the house are taller than I am.  This is a photo of our  carriage house.  The bottom apartment is my scrapbook/art studio and the top apartment is a guest room. The potato vine got way out of hand here.    The guy we hired to take care of our lawn never came by, so my neighbor mowed for us while we were gone.  He'll be gone to England for a while so we will return the favor.

We got in last night around 9:30 and it sure is good to be home.  I like to clean house before I leave so that when I get back I come home to a clean house.  The only thing I didn't do before I left was take all my scrapbooking stuff back to my scrapbook studio.  There is paper and photos and ribbon etc, etc all over my kitchen.  That's easy enough to take care of.

It feels so good to be home.  I can't wait to start decorating for fall.   Woot!

Waiting for Burgandi to get here. Can't wait to see them.
