"just being"

I was reading Sharmaine's  blog (her blog is on my sidebar)  today and it really made me think.  As moms we are always so busy. I know for me, I got caught up in the busy-ness and sometimes thrived on it, but hopefully for the most part, we were busy living and making the most out of life.  Making memories that will last more than my lifetime.

Now that my husband and I are empty nester I find that I am changing so much.  I love being at home "just being";  just piddling around the house, in the yard, in my art studio.  I am finding that I like this new me.

Don't get me wrong.  I still like to travel, shop,  go junking and all that cool stuff.  It's just that now I  enjoy "just being" too.

There are days I miss the craziness of a SAHM.   Well, not the craziness maybe, but I miss the kids everyday, for sure.   

I think Sharmaine has a great balance in her life and she is "busy" making memories her and her family will cherish forever.
