i have been having some fun with paper, scissors and glue. i even got out the paint and the sewing machine.
not much going on here. i've just had some time to myself and i have found some fun ways to occupy my time. i've spend long hours with family and friend on the phone, i've been blog hopping, i've been on Facebook and SiStv and i've gone to Starbucks with friends (i don't do coffee, but i love their black tea). i thought about going to Starbucks today for a free pastry, but i don't think i'm going to make there today. and...i got all artsy and things.
the
this is a canvas i made for a challenge over at These Are A Few Of My Favorite Things. the prompt is what is your favorite color? it was easy and fun to fun play along. you should give it a shot.
the photo is not permanently attached so i can change it out it i ever want to.
i made the stars with my new Slice by Making Memories. i didn't think
i would like it to much, but i LOvE it! it's so easy and fun to use.
journaling: look at the stars. look how they shine for you. and everything that you do.
yeah, they were all yellow. --ColdPlay
i know i could have kick this up a notch but i wanted something very simple.
i wanted the pictures to be the highlight on the page. i love the face he was making when i
took that big photo.
this was just fun to make. i actually got out the sewing machine for this one. FUN!
and i made the quotation marks with the Slice. i'm loving it. oh, sorry i already said that.
this was just too much fun for word. i bought these shoes for Harrison when he was just a
few months old. i loved them. they always made me smile when i saw him wearing them.
so i decided to make a pin cushion out of one of them. now i smile everytime i see it on my
work table. ♥
today i ate tamales for lunch and diner. YuM!
i went to the dollar store to get some popcorn and i heard this young man call out to his kids, 'come on Day Day'. it made me remember when my nephew, Freddy, who is now 25 yrs. old and
recently got married was a not even in school yet. he had a make believe friend that he called Day Day Momma New Na. ( i don't know how he would have spelled it, but that's the pronunciation) it made me smile inside and out.
i decided to download this free photo editing software today. i used to have it and never really used it becasue i have PSE7 now. but Julie was telling me how amazing it is and she is so right. thats how i got the mats on my photos above. it's really easy to use. try it out if you haven't yet. i think you'll really like it.
i'm off to work on a couple of other challenges i have been wanting to do this week.
i hope you are having a merry Tuesday.
