I LOvE a Party!

Kari over at Artsy Mama has put together this blog bash for the new release of the book, Blogging for Bliss, by Tara Frey. Tara's blog, Bella Pink is so very inspiring.  if you stop by Kari's blog, she has a blog roll of everyone who is participating today. i've already checked out a few of the blogs and they are amazing. some are blogs that are featured in the book.

                                                    

part of the fun today included telling your own blogging for bliss story. i started blogging about a year and a half ago. mainly because i was blog hopping a lot then and wanted to be able to leave comments on other blogs. i also wanted to start keeping a on-line journal and have a place to post some of my scrapbook and art journal pages.  time as sure flown by and there are so many changes and new things in our lives. i'm so glad that i have captured some of them here. today though, i blog for more reasons than i ever thought possible.

1. friendships - i have meet so many wonderful people from all the world though blogging. some are just acquaintances and some i've meet in real life and some we talk on the phone and make plans of meeting each other.  i LOvE my friends.
2. inspiration - i still blog hop for inspiration. there are so many blogs out there about so many different things. i LOvE to find inspiration for scrapbooking and art journaling, but i also LOvE comfy-ing up my home...making my house our home. and there are so many wonderful blogs out there to draw that inspiration from.
3. keeping an open mind - i like to get others points of views about many things. blogs are great place to pick someone elses brain.
4. recipes - there are always yummy recipes to be found. i don't really like to cook, but i do okay when following an easy, good recipe. so if you have any, send them my way. HeHe
5. challenges - i LOvE a good challenge.  on my side bar are some links to some fun scrapbooking challenge site. come join us. it's fun.
6. growing and learning - there are so many tutorials on blogs. it's so fun to watch and learn new techniques and new crafts.
7. genuine kindness - there are some amazingly kind people you will meet through blogging. they are always there to give you moral support when you need it and to encourage you with their kind comments. 

i'm sure i could go on and on, but i've got to make it to my mom's today. if you read my earlier post from this moring you can find out why i didn't make it yesterday. 

Congratulations Tara, on your new book. i don't have it yet because the book stores won't get it until later this month. i can't wait to get my hands on it.

Since I've Been Gone...

Christmas is a blur, Harrison turned one, and a new year is upon us.  a month goes by so fast.  most of us were sick here at Christmas. Harrison tried so hard to open gifts and play, but he was just too sick.  a week later, he turned one. he was feeling much better and everyone had so much fun at his birthday party.

i'm just now feeling better. i picked up one thing after another and boy, let me tell  you, it was not fun. i'm hoping that my body will start to feel like it's normal self very soon.

there are lot's of changes going here. Burgandi and Harrison have moved back home and she is attending a university here. there is lots of adjusting going on for everyone.

i'm hoping that i'll get to get some creative stuff done today or tomorrow. i'm hoping to catch up on some much needed house work and laundry first. i just can't get the creative juices flowing here when everything else isn't done first.  how about you? can you just shut the door on the mess and start making a creative mess?

i hope i have some scrapbook pages to share with you soon.
