another one bites the dust

well, another month as come and has almost gone.  if anyone finds my days, could you please return them to me?

i have a few pictures to share with you. the first one is a Halloween card that i got from my sweet friend Jocelyn.  it's so cute with spiders that wiggled and jiggled inside it.

thanks Jocelyn.  you put a big smile on my face.

these next pictures are of a trip that Burgandi and i took. we had the best time. we took a trip to see the fall foliage. i don't have all the pictures, but i'll post a few of what i do have. the colors were not at their most brilliant but it was still beautiful.

the picture in the middle is not on Nantucket.  it's the Cape Neddick, Nubble Lighthouse in York, Maine.  i'm doing something wrong because i couldn't put a description above the photos. sorry.

Orange Crush

Water with lemon is my choice of drink, but...
I love Orange Crush.  I rarely drink a soda, but with certain foods, a soda is just too good to pass up.  Like with Mexican food, something about a soda with it is just so right.  When I eat tamales or barbacoa I crave a Coke.   In a can preferable.

Since we've been in Colorado, we hadn't found a great Mexican food joint until today.  I don't remember the name of it, Fruitiria something or another.  The food is delicious.  I had to grab a Orange Crush to go with it.  So yummy!

Beautiful Colorado

Hi everyone.  We have been in Colorado for almost 2 weeks now.  Jake is working, but his hours are fabulous.  This leaves plenty of time for sightseeing and fun.

We were here for Labor day weekend.  We went down to Manitou Springs for an art festival.  There was lots of cool art and great food.  We had a blast. We've been to Garden of the Gods too.   I've been to Archivers and bought some supplies so I could scrap while I'm here.  We've been to Cripple Creek (casinoville) and we left a little money there.  hehe   Just a little.  We aren't big gamblers.  We also went to Cave of the winds. We have done so many things and still want to do so much more. 

Sarah Palin will be at the Colorado Springs airport on Saturday with McCain and I was thinking of going to hear her, but all the tickets have been handed out.  I still haven't made up my mind who I'm going to vote for.  I am so disenchanted with this whole campaign. 

We are planning to take a trip up to Pikes Peak on the railway cog on Saturday instead.  I can't wait.  Jake hopes to get at least one round of golf in while we are here.  There are some really pretty courses.  I love driving the cart and being outdoors.  There are usually some great photo opportunities when I go with him. 

Well, I better go.  I want to try to get a scrapbook page done today.

time for an update

Hello everyone
I thought it would be good to post this because I may not be able to get online for a few days. I'm in Pittsburgh helping my son move and he hasn't called to get his cable hooked up yet.  We may have to stop in at a Starbucks tomorrow just for a bit.  hehe

It's been raining most of the night and I hope it clears up.  As much as I love the rain, we have to unload the moving truck tomorrow.  Hope to get him unpack in the next couple of days so we can get some adventuring done here in PA.  We hope to make it out to NY too.  I will be going home sometime after the 7th. 

I miss you babe.  I wish you could have come with us.  Miss you Burgandi and Little Man Harrison.  I hope those teeth come in quickly so he isn't hurting so much. 

Gotta try to get some shut eye now.  Night Night. 

Austin Bound!

Gosh, sittin in bed with my computer on my lap, trying to unwind.  Just got back into town. Combined business with pleasure and got to see my family again this week. YaY!  I have been really busy with work this week and haven't gotten to post much. 

Planning a weekend trip to see my son.  I haven't seen him in a couple of months so I'm really excited.  Great things happening for him right now.  He is finally realizing how much God has blessed him.  Be still my heart!

Maybe I can sneak in a trip to Archivers.   Just an added bonus.

If I don't get to post before the weekend, I hope everyone has a terrific one!
